Uzbekistan - Turkey Funeral Repatriation
There is considerable travel from Uzbekistan to Turkey for work, education, trade and medical treatment, and the Uzbek community living in Istanbul is large. For the repatriation of Uzbek nationals who die in Turkey to Tashkent and other cities, we handle the consular, embalming, coffin and airline procedures. Communication is available in Turkish and Russian.
Process for this country
- The death certificate and the multilingual death certificate extract (Formule C) are issued; the Uzbek consulate's transfer documents are obtained.
- Ritual washing, shrouding and embalming are carried out; a sealed coffin is prepared.
- The deceased is sent by air cargo to Tashkent or the relevant city; the relative or funeral director who will receive them is informed.

There are direct flights from Istanbul to Tashkent; for other cities the flight options vary by city.
For Uzbek nationals working in Turkey, the documents and costs are planned together with the employer or relatives.
