Libya - Turkey Funeral Repatriation
There is considerable travel from Libya to Turkey for medical tourism, education and trade. For the repatriation of Libyan nationals who die in Turkey during treatment to Tripoli, Benghazi, Misrata and other cities, we handle the hospital, consular and airline procedures from a single point of contact. Written communication is available in Arabic.
Process for this country
- The death certificate is obtained from the hospital and the multilingual death certificate extract (Formule C) is issued; the Libyan consulate's transfer documents are followed up.
- Ritual washing, shrouding and embalming are carried out; a sealed coffin is prepared.
- The air cargo booking is made; details are shared with the relative or funeral director who will receive the deceased at the destination airport.
