Iran - Turkey Funeral Repatriation
Iran is one of the countries sending the most visitors to Turkey, and there is a large Iranian community in Istanbul. For the repatriation of Iranian nationals who die in Turkey to Tehran and other cities, we handle the consular, embalming, coffin and airline procedures. Transfer by road is assessed case by case.
Process for this country
- The death certificate and the multilingual death certificate extract (Formule C) are issued; the transfer documents are obtained from the Consulate General of Iran.
- Ritual washing and shrouding are carried out according to the family's denomination; embalming is performed and a sealed coffin is prepared.
- The deceased is sent by air cargo to Tehran or the relevant city; the receiving relative or funeral director is informed.
